HMV Next Big Thing: Paloma Faith at Jazz Cafe 11/02/10

I was ecstatic when my friend Russell told me he had a spare ticket to see Paloma Faith at The Jazz Cafe in Camden. I have been dying to see this songstres for ages and to see her perform in such a small venue made it all that better. She certainly knows how to put on a show and she looked stunning in red wearing a long vintage number.

But Paloma was not playing alone. Her support came from scottish 18 year old Alex Gardner. I carried out some research into him before the gig, and I immediately fell in love. I think you should all watch out for him as I predict big things. Not only is he unbelievably good looking, but he has one of the most effortlessly beautiful voices I have heard in a while. I enjoyed his performance so much at The Jazz Cafe, that I am going to see him play at The Lexington in March. He has supported Paolo Nutini and The Script and is the main support for Scouting For Girls upcoming tour.

He has a new single coming out called 'I'm Not Mad' and the official video has just been uploaded onto youtube, so check it out. Also if you go to his website, http://www.alexgardnermusic.com/ , and sign up to his newsletter, you will receive a free download of his track 'There Goes My Heart', and when your done, become a fan of his on Facebook
